The Michelin Guide's review
A centre of biomedical research, the Institute is home to a museum devoted to Louis Pasteur, located in the immense furnished apartment, rich in family and scientific memorabilia, where the inventor of the rabies vaccine lived from 1888 to 1895. The man himself lies in the Neo-Byzantine crypt adorned with mosaics.
