The Michelin Guide's review
Taliesen is the name of the huge estate that surrounds the residence built by architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) for himself in 1911, when he returned to his birth region. The house was remodelled many times, making it a testament to his architectural evolution. The visit begins in the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, originally a restaurant (1953) where you can have lunch with a view over the river, and which has an excellent bookshop. Other buildings of interest are dotted about the 240ha property.
