The Michelin Guide's review
Perched on a rocky crest (berget), this bucolic micro-neighbourhood to the west of Södermalm offers a now-rare sight: a row of the pretty little red wooden houses that typify the island, from where the central tower of the church, Sofia Kirk, emerges. Bondegatan, Nytorgsgatan and the adjacent streets are lined with kitsch shops, and cafés where young patrons exude joie de vivre. Nytorget, the square lying at the heart of the neighbourhood, gives expression to the spirit of Södermalm.
