Natural site
The Michelin Guide's review
In this park, created in 1924, mechanical erosion combined with that of water has formed a genuine forest of natural spires called the "Standing-up rocks" by the Apache. The play of light between the tightly packed lines of rhyolite columns is fascinating. The Scenic Drive swings past the park's main hiking trails and finest viewpoints. Don't miss Massai Point and its 360° vista over this natural Manhattan or the 3mi-Echo Canyon Loop that ventures deep into the heart of this unique scenery.
