The Michelin Guide's review
A fine example of the Counter-Reformation of the Catholic church, this Jesuit church (1632) was built following model of the Gesù in Rome and was dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The austere façade hides a lavish interior, notably the single nave containing six lateral chapels which produce an ethereal, almost joyful light and is one of Croatia's most beautiful Baroque ensembles.
